The Slovak Studies Association connects scholars of Slovakia with one another and with the world.

• We work together to promote interdisciplinary scholarly research, publication, and teaching related to the Slovak experience the world over.
• We share our experiences and our questions and our scholarship, both through the website and in person.
• We seek out and make public information that might help others study Slovak questions.
• We do all these things in accordance with the principles of academic freedom and without partiality to any particular philosophical, political, or religious orientation.

Founded in 1977, the Slovak Studies Association is a not-for-profit organization registered in the state of Pennsylvania.
